Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland who has over 8 years of experience providing clinical services.

My practice has a few different focuses:

  • Health and Disability (the relationship between mental and physical health, including HIV, sexual health and performance, chronic pain, cancer, acquired disability, and more)
  • Couples Therapy
  • Culturally Responsive Therapy (positive identity development and minority stress in ethnic/racial and gender/sexual minorities)

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy involves partnering with clients to better understand the broader social context, communities, and environments they live in. My goal is to help you "become your own therapist" by equipping you with the tools that you need to address issues in your daily life and feel more confident in yourself.

Some therapies and therapeutic approaches I have advanced training in are: CBT, ACT, DBT, EFCT, solutions-focused therapy, humanistic therapy, and existential therapy.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a non-judgmental space that respects their own self-knowledge, identities, and the natural strengths that they bring to therapy. Therapy is work, but it can also be exciting, fun, and restorative. I partner with clients to create goals and treatment outcomes that are achievable and important to their lives.
