Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience providing individual and family counseling to high-need populations. Over the years, I've worked in a variety of settings across the New York metro area—including residential programs, community mental health, and hospital-based services—which has shaped a grounded, practical approach to therapy. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, men's issues, and relationship challenges. I have advanced training in a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI).

My approach to therapy

In a typical session, you can expect a collaborative and thoughtful environment where we work together to explore and understand your emotional experience. My role is to help you identify internal resources that you may not have considered before—like resiliency, self-awareness, and the ability to tolerate strong emotions, even when they feel overwhelming. We'll focus on clarifying your values and using evidence-based techniques to build tools that support a more intentional life. The session is tailored to your needs and is designed to help you feel grounded, empowered, and ready to engage with challenges in the 'here and now.' We'll work together to create actionable strategies and insights that will help you move forward with greater emotional clarity and confidence. Success is measured by a combination of self-report screening tools, which help us track changes in your emotional well-being, and a review of your initial intake treatment goals. At regular intervals, we will revisit how you feel about the progress you've made, ensuring that your perspective on your own growth is part of the process. This helps us stay aligned with your needs and adjust our approach as necessary.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your history, what’s bringing you in now, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. By the end we’ll have a clearer sense of whether we’re a good fit and what the work might look like.
