Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Alex. I am dually licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Addictions Specialist. My clinical experience includes assessment and diagnosis, crisis intervention, severe and persistent mental illness, substance use, and system of care coordination.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in providing services to the adolescent and emerging adult populations. My work with clients consists of a trauma-informed approach through person centered, solution-focused brief, and motivational interviewing techniques. I am experienced in treating emotional dysregulation, anger, interpersonal issues, familial discord, and suicidality/safety. I value an open, collaborative yet direct approach to mental healthcare - with healthy humor when appropriate.

What you can expect from me

During session, we will work together to understand and address how situations you are navigating impact your sense of self, emotional wellbeing, and relationships. I welcome you to set the pace of therapy at your comfort level. Together we will define and work towards what positive mental health means for you.
