Great to meet you!

I’m Amaryah Reedy, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My passion is helping people like you find restoration, understanding, and growth in every area of their lives. I specialize in trauma work, relationship challenges, emotional healing, and attachment work, helping individuals develop healthier connections with themselves and others.

With over 15 years of experience as a therapist, I bring not only clinical expertise but also the wisdom of lived experience to my work. I graduated with honors from California State University, Chico in 2007, and have been deeply committed to the healing journey—both my clients’ and my own—ever since.

As someone who has been married for over 20 years and is a proud parent of four, I understand firsthand the complexities of relationships, personal growth, and the resilience it takes to navigate life’s challenges. My own journey through inner healing and relational struggles has shaped me into the therapist I am today—compassionate, grounded, and attuned.

I believe healing happens in authentic connection—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me immersed in nature, expressing through dance and art, or simply enjoying meaningful conversations or a good book. These passions inform my holistic approach to therapy, where creativity, presence, and authenticity are central.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative approach that combines Brainspotting, Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I work with individuals, couples, and families to bring clarity, peace, and actionable steps toward healing and growth. Whether you’re dealing with deep-seated emotional wounds, relationship struggles, or challenges related to anxiety, depression, or intimacy, I can help you uncover the root causes and empower you to make lasting change.

What I Offer:

  • Trauma Healing: With specialized therapies like EMDR and Brainspotting, I help you process and release trauma in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Relationship & Intimacy Work: I help couples and individuals rebuild trust, improve communication, process attachment wounds, and create deeper emotional intimacy, with research-based principles to guide the process.
  • Parenting Support: Together, we’ll navigate the challenges of raising children and strengthening family bonds, helping you cultivate harmony and understanding.
  • Personal Growth: Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, or other emotional challenges, I provide practical tools to help you move from stuck to empowered. Gain deeper self-understanding, break through limiting patterns, and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

My unique approach blends professional training with a deep understanding of connection, creating a warm and supportive environment for healing. I’m committed to helping you not only overcome the challenges you face but also build a stronger, healthier connection with yourself and those around you. I’ll meet you where you are, offering practical tools, strategic guidance, and a safe space for healing.
