My approach can best be described as person-centered, using a non-authoritative style that allows you to take more of the lead in the discussions so that, in the process, you will discover your own solutions.
In our initial session, we will discuss the reasons that led you to seek therapy and determine the best strategies for facilitating your progress. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice that focuses on examining the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Throughout the course of treatment, I will assist you in learning how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better."
