Angelica Newsome

I am a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. I hold a BA in Health Administration and Policy, as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a dual focus in clinical and macro practice and a specialization in health.

With over a decade of experience in hospital settings, my background includes roles as a case manager, clinical therapist, member of mobile crisis teams, and responder to critical incidents impacting employees across various organizations. These experiences have shaped a holistic and responsive approach to care.

I work primarily with adults (18+) who are navigating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My goal is to offer compassionate, collaborative support that empowers clients to heal, grow, and thrive.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen when we engage the whole self—mind, body, and spirit. I view each person as inherently resourceful and capable of transformation, and I’m here to support you in making whatever changes you feel called to pursue.
