Angélica is a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (LADAC). She has experience working with individuals who suffer from substance abuse as well as a variety of disorders such Personality Disorders, anxiety, trauma, and geriatric populations. She earned a Masters from John Brown University in Clinical Mental Health.

My approach to therapy

Through her training at John Brown University, she received a comprehensive education on many different treatment modalities and will use an integrative approach with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution focused techniques in order to help the clients reach their goals. Angélica uses a variety of mindfulness technique to ensure that clients remain in the moment as they process through traumatic events, stressful live events, and difficulties in their lives.

As a therapist, her goal is to enable clients to manage life in constructive manner and maintain a level of functionality. She also helps clients discover their capabilities by exploring with them their strengths and purposes. Given the opportunity, Angélica will help clients work through the challenging times in their lives as well as explore great opportunities for growth and development throughout their process.
