Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with are the ones everyone else depends on. They appear successful, capable, and resilient on the outside, yet privately struggle with chronic anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, emotional numbness, or the lasting effects of trauma. If you're exhausted from constantly holding it together, therapy can be a place where you no longer have to.

With over 10 years of clinical experience, I specialize in helping adults heal from complex and developmental trauma, high-functioning anxiety, burnout, and relationship patterns rooted in early life experiences. My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in attachment science, neuroscience, and evidence-based treatment.

I believe symptoms like anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, and difficulty trusting others often develop as adaptive ways of surviving difficult experiences. Rather than simply managing symptoms, we work to understand where these patterns came from, help your nervous system feel safer, and create lasting change.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and intentional. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship because meaningful trauma work begins with safety and trust. Clients often describe me as compassionate, grounded, and insightful—someone who creates space for vulnerability while gently challenging patterns that are no longer serving them.

Whether you're processing unresolved trauma, navigating life transitions, struggling in relationships, or feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can help you move beyond survival and toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and authentic.

My approach to therapy

Attachment-Based Therapy: Early relationships shape how we experience trust, connection, and safety. Together, we'll explore these patterns while building greater security, self-understanding, and healthier relationships.

Internal Family Systems (IFS): IFS helps us understand the different "parts" of ourselves—such as the inner critic, people-pleaser, or perfectionist—that developed to protect us. We'll work toward understanding these parts with compassion, reducing internal conflict, and fostering emotional balance.

EMDR: EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process traumatic or distressing experiences so they become less emotionally overwhelming, reducing trauma symptoms, anxiety, and emotional reactivity.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP): ERP is the gold-standard treatment for OCD. Together, we'll gradually face fears while resisting compulsions, helping you break the OCD cycle and regain confidence in daily life.

Interpersonal & Relational Therapy: We'll explore patterns in communication, attachment, and relationships to strengthen connections, improve boundaries, and create healthier ways of relating to others.

Psychodynamic Therapy: By exploring underlying emotional and relationship patterns, we'll gain insight into how past experiences influence the present, creating opportunities for lasting change.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT): ACT helps you respond to difficult thoughts and emotions with greater flexibility while building a life guided by your values rather than anxiety or avoidance.

Culturally Responsive Therapy: Your cultural background, values, identities, and lived experiences are integrated into treatment so therapy feels collaborative, affirming, and relevant to your unique story.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to understand what's bringing you to therapy and begin building a sense of safety and connection. We'll explore your current concerns, discuss relevant life experiences, and identify the goals that matter most to you.

You don't have to tell your whole story in one session. We'll move at a pace that feels manageable while beginning to understand the patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, or trauma-related symptoms.

By the end of our first meeting, you'll have a clearer understanding of how I work, what treatment may look like, and whether we're a good fit to begin this process together.
