Great to meet you!

I have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, supporting adults, adolescents, and families through some of life’s most difficult and meaningful seasons. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward. I believe healing is possible when you have the right support, practical tools, and a therapeutic relationship built on trust. I am trained in EMDR and currently working toward full certification, and I also integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT to help clients process painful experiences, understand patterns, and create lasting change. I offer in-person sessions in downtown Benton, AR, as well as virtual sessions for added flexibility and accessibility.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered, compassionate, and practical. I understand that each person’s story is different, so I tailor therapy to your unique needs, goals, pace, and life experiences. Together, we may use CBT to explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, and EMDR-informed work to help process difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe and structured way. I also focus on helping you build coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, improve relationships, and reconnect with the strengths you already carry. I see therapy as a collaborative process. You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. My role is to walk alongside you, help you make sense of what you are experiencing, and support you in accessing the tools and resources needed to move forward with greater confidence.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about creating a strong foundation for our work together. You can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and identify what you hope to gain from the process. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant background, and goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to share everything all at once. My priority is to help you feel safe, respected, and understood. By the end of our first session, we will begin outlining a path forward and discussing how therapy can best support your healing, growth, and overall well-being.
