Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process.
I’ll ask some questions about your background, including your mental health history, lifestyle, and any relevant medical or life experiences, to better understand the full picture. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
We’ll also begin identifying goals and, if it feels right, start discussing initial strategies or tools you can use between sessions.
Most importantly, this is your space to ask questions, get a feel for my style, and decide if this feels like a good fit.
