Bethany Tschappat

Hi. I am a National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in SC, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in FL, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Provider, and owner of Better Mind-Better You (counseling). My work centers on empowering individuals to develop self-love, improve communication, and overcome barriers by navigating challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions with understanding and care. I have extensive experiencing working with diverse populations, veterans, first responders, low income and others.

I am trained in various trauma and behavioral therapies. I believe each person is unique and require individualized treatment. I also believe each individual is the expert on themselves, but those roadblocks can make it difficult to figure out the next step. My role is to help guild you to those next steps. Therapy has to be individualized to meet your specific needs!

During that first session, we will review the therapeutic relationship (your role as a client my role as a therapist), identify specific therapy goals, take and review assessments as needed, develop your specific plan of care, identify some of your likes and figure out ways to use those in your treatment and overall get to know you a bit better. Each session is collaborative, meaning we both do the talking!
