Great to meet you!

Rise and be divine. My name is Bria Young-Josephs and I welcome you. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults, individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship issues, trauma and PTSD, grief, divorce, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, stress, self-esteem struggles, and more.

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It's about returning to who you've always been, underneath survival, expectations, and emotional overload. I believe therapy should feel safe, empowering, and honest. My approach is rooted in emotional intelligence, nervous system awareness, and practical tools that help you regulate, reflect, and rebuild. I work with individuals navigating the quiet exhaustion that comes from constantly holding it all together.

I don't believe in surface-level healing. We explore patterns, attachment styles, boundaries, and the beliefs that silently shape your decisions. Together, we move from confusion to clarity, from reaction to regulation, from surviving to intentionally living. You are not broken.

My approach to therapy

I use a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Attachment-based therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strength-Based approaches, and Trauma-Focused therapy. I also integrate life coaching, compassion-focused techniques, and positive psychology to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.

My work is compassionate but direct. I will hold space for your pain, and I will also gently challenge the narratives that keep you stuck. Growth requires safety and accountability. My goal is to help you reconnect to your inner stability, strengthen your emotional resilience, and create alignment between who you are and how you live.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will change. I'll ask questions to understand your story, your patterns, your relationships, and what support you need most right now. We'll begin exploring the beliefs and survival strategies that may be keeping you stuck, and we'll start building a path toward clarity and regulation.

You can expect a warm, honest space where you feel truly seen and heard. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling empowered, hopeful, and clear that healing is possible. Together, we'll help you move from surviving to intentionally living.
