Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Art Therapist Registered (ATR-P) with a background spanning individual, couples, and family therapy, expressive therapy groups, and clinical training and supervision. I work with a wide range of ages, from children (8+) through older adults, and I bring a warm, participatory presence to every session. Building genuine rapport matters deeply to me; a strong therapeutic relationship creates the conditions where meaningful work can happen. I'm also a harm reduction-informed clinician, which means I meet clients where they are while remaining open to gently challenging patterns that clients themselves have identified as obstacles to their own goals. I hold a non-judgmental, curious stance and believe that increasing self-awareness is one of the most powerful levers for lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and relational, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, expressive, and mindfulness-based frameworks. I incorporate creativity and evidence-based practices as tools for exploration, tailoring the work to each individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method. I engage in dynamic listening and use Socratic questioning to help clients explore how their thoughts shape their relationship with themselves and their experiences. I'm trained and certified in EMDR, CRAFT, MBSEP, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and I draw from these approaches thoughtfully and collaboratively. At the heart of it all is a strengths-based, person-centered orientation that honors lived experience and inner wisdom.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about connection and context. I'll want to hear what's bringing you in and what feels most important to you right now. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly what you're looking for. I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and begin to get a sense of your story, your strengths, and what you're hoping therapy might offer. By the end of our first meeting, we'll usually have a beginning sense of goals and direction, and you'll have a feel for what working together might look like. I aim for the first session to feel less like an intake and more like the start of a genuine conversation.
