Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Chelby, a licensed therapist who is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and judgment-free. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults, and have worked in foster care settings supporting individuals and families through complex emotional experiences.

My clinical background includes working with childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, and stress. I understand how early experiences can shape the way we move through the world, and I strive to help clients better understand themselves while developing healthier ways to cope and heal.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I understand that every person’s story is different, so I tailor treatment to meet your unique needs and goals. I aim to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective and draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques. Together, we’ll explore patterns, process difficult experiences, and build practical tools to help you manage challenges, improve emotional well-being, and move toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, relevant background experiences, and what you hope to gain from the process.
