Great to meet you!

Aanii and Hello. My name is Cherie Dakota and I have been supporting people as they reach their goals for over 36 years. As a clinical social worker, I focus on you as a person and how your environment best supports you. My clinical experience developed both in the Detroit area and in creating programs for my own Ojibwe community in Michigan.

My approach to therapy

We will work as a team - you, as the expert in your own life, and me, as a guide, providing therapeutic tools to manage personal and life struggles as you become the best version of yourself. Creating balance is also a focus, attending to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health, as is finding that balance between work and play.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will provide you the opportunity to share your story and gain some relief from carrying problems. alone. I will ask questions to get to know you and what you want from our work together. I will also share a bit about myself and my approach so you can decide if we are a good match.
