Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Supervisor in North Carolina and South Carolina with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I have a strong clinical focus on adoption and permanency-related issues, and I’ve worked extensively with adoptive families, children in foster care, and those navigating reunification or kinship care. I also specialize in treating behavioral challenges, ADHD, and trauma. My practice is grounded in evidence-based models such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). In addition to direct clinical work, I provide supervision to early-career therapists, which allows me to stay connected to both the practice and mentorship of ethical, impactful care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments that are tailored to the needs of each individual and family. I rely on models like Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), while always considering the unique strengths, challenges, and dynamics of the people I’m working with. I use ongoing assessment to guide the course of treatment and make sure we’re staying focused on your goals. Therapy with me is active, structured, and collaborative.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a clear sense of what’s happening, what’s getting in the way, and how we’re going to work toward change. Whether we’re focused on parenting strategies, behavior, trauma, or emotional regulation, I offer practical tools and feedback that are grounded in your goals. I use ongoing assessment to make sure we’re moving in the right direction and adjust the approach as needed. My aim is for families to feel more confident, supported, and equipped to navigate the challenges they’re facing.
