Great to meet you!

As a psychotherapist I provide effective, efficient treatments for clients with anxiety disorders, panic, post-traumatic stress, and depression. I also work with men's issues. With 8 years of post-graduate education and training (master's and PhD) and nearly 20 years of experience I have helped thousands of clients heal and lead happier, more productive lives.

Before graduate school I served as an Army officer, including in the 82nd Airborne Division. I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

My approach to therapy

We begin by working to understand your experiences and goals, then develop a customized treatment plan that will help us focus on what matters most. Each client is unique so I avoid cookie-cutter, dogmatic approaches. Instead we decide what works best for you and stick with it. I use evidence-based treatments and gently structure sessions to keep us focused on getting the results you want. I am gentle but persistent in focusing on the work that will help you heal and grow.

What you can expect from me

Clients very reliably say that I am warm and friendly, and that I have a calming but strong presence that helps them feel accepted and safe. Our first session is a chance to get know each other a little better and make decisions about whether working together is a good fit.
