Great to meet you!

Welcome! I have been working in counseling since 2013, after graduating with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. I have spent a great deal of my career helping adolescents, young adults, and adults work through complex issues related to trauma, and as a result have a great deal of experience working within trauma and understanding family systems. I also specialize in women's issues and infertility and adoption. I am EMDR trained, and take an integrated approach to ensure that clients receive individualized care for their specific needs. While choosing to come to counseling and face difficult experiences is hard, I believe that everyone deserves hope for the future and the pursuit of peace.

My approach to therapy

I have a client-centered and strengths-based approach. I believe that each client is capable of accomplishing their goals and I look forward to meeting them where they are at and walking alongside them on their journey. Trauma work is hard, and my goal is to be a safe person to have with you in hard places, an advocate when you need courage, and a witness when you accomplish incredible things.

What you can expect from me

In our first session I will take time to listen and understand what your goals and specific needs are. We will agree together what successful treatment looks like for you, and within the first few sessions, my hope is that you feel confident we can get where you want to go together. Change takes time, but building trust and confidence is always my first priority so that you can be sure that your investment in this process will be met with care and enthusiasm.
