Great to meet you!

Reaching out to a counselor can be intimidating. I get it. We've all had times in life when we can't manage on our own. You might think, "how did I get here?" Whatever the situation, sometimes it feels overwhelming until you are able to talk about it. A counselor can help guide you through it. Counseling can help you feel healthier, happier, more empowered. Let's work together to help you find the peace and resiliency you've been wanting. Give us a call. I offer flexible hours, as well as offering phone and e-counseling.

I've worked in this field since 1993 when I got a BSW w/a minor in gerontology. I received my masters in 2013; licensed in 2014. I worked with the IDD population and have done ADHD testing which I loved but most of my work has been in sub abuse & mental health. What I love the most is helping families.

I hope that you'll reach out and allow us to get to know you. Please give me a call today. We're here to support you. I provide phone sessions and e-counseling as insurance allows. Take some time to take care of you today! Thank you so much for reaching out!

My approach to therapy

I use CBT and DBT with some use of other methods. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treats a variety of issues by identifying the link between thoughts feelings and our behavior and Dialectical Therapy teaches the skills needed to improve our daily functioning once we've identified our negative patterns of thinking.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together will be a time for me to understand what's brought you to counseling and what you would like to get out of it. I'll gather some necessary information but first, allow you to get some things off your chest that you've probably been storing up for a while. Through that, I'll be able to figure out where we go from there. You're the captain of your ship and I am simply the guide. We might have to shift with each session as you navigate life's challenges.
