Great to meet you!

Dominique Correa is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 5 years of experience. She supports individuals and couples of color navigating anxiety, communication breakdowns, anger, identity challenges, and mood disorders like bipolar and borderline personality. Dominique is well-versed in depression, anxiety, and ADHD management. With a background in family systems, she has experience working with children and helping clients break patterns and build emotionally safe relationships.

Dominique earned her Master’s in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Walden University. She uses a direct, empathetic, and therapeutic approach and draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems.

My approach to therapy

I work best with millennial women of color who are looking for straight talk, accountability, and real, actionable support. My clients typically seek guidance with managing their emotions, improving communication, and navigating life transitions. I create a space where they feel seen and heard, providing both compassion and structure to help them move forward with confidence.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming and supportive space focused on understanding their needs. During this initial intake, we’ll explore current symptoms, concerns, and the challenges that brought them in. I’ll ask questions to get a clear picture of their experiences, history, and goals for therapy.

I also use this time to explain what working with me looks like, including how future sessions are structured and what they can expect from the therapeutic process. Together, we may begin identifying initial goals or areas of focus, while ensuring the client feels comfortable, heard, and respected.

My aim is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly share and start building a foundation for meaningful progress.
