Great to meet you!

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University at Northridge in 1996, and my Masters in Social Work from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1998.I have been practicing as a mental health therapist since 1998. I earned my Washington state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in 2003. I met all qualification and was granted a license in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2023.

My approach to therapy

My preferred approach is cognitive behavioral within a systems perspective that looks at each person's functioning in all domains. This means I help each client to understand the connection between what they think, how they feel, and what they do in all areas of their life, and how to use those connections to manage their emotions and behavior/reactions.

What you can expect from me

I believe my role is to teach clients what I knows and guide them through thinking and behavior changes that will bring them to a place of peace and contentment. I strive to help clients improve their levels of self-awareness, increase their understanding of and empathy for themselves and others, and increase their ability to communicate effectively.
