Great to meet you!

My life has been dedicated to helping teens, young adults, and families as a middle/high school teacher, counselor, & youth director in both public schools & non-profit settings. I graduated in 2018 with a M Ed. in School Counseling, while also completing the graduate coursework to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Now, as a a National Board Certified Counselor, my goal is to help teenagers, college students, adults, families, & senior-adults become the best person that they can become.

My approach to therapy

I believe it is important to create a safe & non-judgmental space, where you can lay down the "mask" you wear for others, so you can be your real self. My approach is to help you explore your past and present so you can identify areas in your life & events from the past that are not allowing you to be who you want to be. We will use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and other approaches, to see how your thoughts are affecting your feelings and actions, and what possible changes you might want to make.

What you can expect from me

As a counselor the greatest thing that I can give my clients is hope for a better tomorrow and the tools necessary for them to create meaningful change in their life. My goal is that by providing an empathetic listening ear, asking the right questions to provoke self-reflection, and giving helpful information and coping techniques, that each person I see will walk away feeling understood. I do not accept EAPs at this time.
