Great to meet you!

My name is Erin Case, and I am an LCSW who has been serving people in the mental health community for many years, in both adult and children's settings. I am the wife of a now retired 24-year Navy Chief, Mom to three amazing adult children and a grandma to 2 beautiful little girls. I am currently licensed as a LCSW in California and Hawaii. I am trained in CPT for PTSD and other trauma-related mental health disorders. I enjoy working with couples and families as well as individuals (teens and adults). My experience with under-served and vulnerable populations spans decades of work in mental health in varied settings and in clinical & leadership roles. It is not an easy decision to reach out for help but I am committed to making this process not only therapeutic but a learning journey as we work together to improve your mental health. The pull to helping those struggling with their mental health has been a constant in my life since my childhood and I consider it a privilege to work with struggling people so thank you for your interest in beginning therapy with me, I really can’t wait to meet you.

My approach to therapy

I take a very trauma-informed and client-centered approach, meeting the client in whatever emotional space they find themselves in while seeking support. You can expect a transparent and supportive perspective with honesty and authenticity. I have been consistently told by other clients that I am very approachable, relatable and easy to open up to as a therapist. It's my hope that I can make all my clients feel comfortable to share honestly and openly so I can further support their therapy goals.

What you can expect from me

In my professional experience, clients will either come to therapy sessions with topics to discuss or struggles to process. As the therapeutic process unfolds, I will generally have a plan for the therapy session as it relates to treatment goals or a previously discussed focus but the priority will always be the needs of the client for that session. While there can be tremendous benefit to talk-therapy by exploring needs, wants, desires or setting goals for future growth or processing traumas and their current impact on the individual, there is also enormous benefit to utilizing concrete interventions and concepts to learn new skills for more emotional growth and healthy mental functioning. Clients can expect an interactive and engaging experience with honesty and authenticity from me.
