Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over two decades of experience walking alongside individuals and families through life’s most tender and tangled moments, always with the goal of helping people feel more connected to themselves and the people they love.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland and a Master’s in Developmental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University, with a concentration in child and adolescent development. This unique background gives me deep insight into parenting, family dynamics, and the emotional development that shapes us across the lifespan.

My clinical work focuses on anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, ADHD, disordered eating, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I have a particular passion for supporting individuals navigating major life transitions, like early adulthood, new parenthood, or shifting roles in relationships, and those seeking to better understand the patterns that keep showing up in their lives.

Outside the therapy room, I’m a parent of two teenagers and have been married to my spouse for over 20 years; life experiences that continue to teach me about growth, communication, and the daily work of showing up for the people we love. I’m also a proud plant enthusiast who finds grounding in sunshine, fresh air, and the quiet wisdom of things that grow at their own pace. I understand that real change is rarely linear, it often happens slowly, sideways, and in beautifully unexpected ways.

My goal is to help you cultivate a strong, resilient sense of self so you can move through life feeling capable, peaceful, and whole.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and grounded in trust. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful agent of change, and I work to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully human.

Clinically, I draw from a range of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment-based therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. I’m also trauma-informed and systems-aware, which means I pay close attention to how your environment, relationships, and past experiences shape your current reality.

I lead with warmth, deep compassion, and the kind of humor that helps hard things feel a little lighter. Whether you're unpacking something heavy or simply need a place to exhale, our work will be tailored to what feels most supportive in that moment.

At the heart of it all, I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you better understand yourself, shift unhelpful patterns, and move forward with more clarity, connection, and compassion.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave our sessions feeling heard, validated, and just a little more like yourself. You can expect to gain meaningful insight into what’s driving your emotions and behavior, along with practical tools to manage stress, improve relationships, and reconnect with your strengths.

Expect a collaborative, down-to-earth space that honors both the messiness and the beauty of being human. I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and the occasional well-timed laugh, because healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy to be meaningful. We’ll also work on setting boundaries that protect your peace, even if they feel unfamiliar or a little uncomfortable at first.

At the core of our work is a simple goal: helping you move through life with more clarity, confidence, and connection, to yourself and the world around you.
