Great to meet you!

I'm a psychologist who has spent years working with adults navigating the kinds of struggles that don't always have a clear name — patterns from your family of origin that keep showing up, grief that doesn't move the way you expected, burnout hiding under achievement, or a complicated relationship with substances that feels too layered to explain quickly. I've worked for four years in a university counseling setting, which means I understand the particular exhaustion of people who are doing everything right on the outside and still feeling stuck. I work virtually with adults throughout Maryland, and I accept several major insurance plans — because access to quality care matters to me. I bring a warm, direct presence to therapy. I'm genuinely curious about who you are, not just what's troubling you.

My approach to therapy

I draw on Relational Cultural, Interpersonal, and Psychodynamic theories — which means I'm interested in the whole picture of you: how your early relationships shaped you, what patterns you keep returning to, and what's underneath the surface of what brings you in. I work within a multicultural framework, which means I take seriously the cultural, systemic, and relational contexts that shape your experience — not as a footnote, but as a central part of how we understand your story. I work best with clients who want more than symptom management. If you're curious about yourself, willing to look at hard things, and ready for longer-term work that actually shifts something — that's the kind of therapy I do.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a real conversation — not a checklist. I'll want to understand what's bringing you in right now, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping therapy can give you that you haven't been able to get on your own. I'll likely ask about your history — your family, your relationships, patterns you've noticed in yourself — because that context matters deeply to how I work. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of how I approach therapy and whether it feels like the right fit. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change, and I want to make sure we're building something solid from the start.
