Great to meet you!

Some children experience day-to-day life much more intensely than other children their age. These intense emotions can quickly lead to challenging behaviors such as refusing to follow directions, hitting, screaming, damaging items around them. Many parents feel blindsided. Once triggered, your child’s emotions may escalate from 0 to 100 in seconds. Many parents share that strategies that work well with other children seem to make things worse for this child. Over time, parents may find themselves giving in to prevent outbursts. I'm here to help.

I specialize in working with children ages 3-13 who struggle with emotional regulation, anxiety, and behavioral challenges. Treatment may include child and/or parent sessions using evidence-based approaches such as Play Therapy, CBT, and DBT-C. We'll work together to plan the best approach for your family.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure how to help your child, you’re not alone. Many parents begin therapy feeling exhausted and concerned. With the right support, meaningful change is possible. I welcome you to reach out to explore whether working together would be a good fit.

My approach to therapy

My focus is to create an atmosphere where you'll experience understanding and acceptance. At the same time, I provide you with encouragement and structure needed to achieve your goals.

What you can expect from me

The initial sessions are dedicated to exploring your child's background, the areas of life you'll like to see different both for your child and yourself as their parent, and your family values and strengths. I will explain my approach and answer your questions so together we can decide if my practice is a good fit for your goals. Throughout our work together, I will check in to ensure your needs are being met and we are making progress towards your goals.

After the first in-person appointment is completed, telehealth appointments may be available. If interested, please discuss with your Therapist.
