Great to meet you!

My clients should know that I am a seasoned therapist, that I use eclectic methods of treatment and humor. I have over 27 years of experience as a psychotherapist and have worked Hospital Inpatient Units, Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs. I have had a private practice during this time helping adults and seniors (sometimes older adolescents) in individual therapy. I have counseled couples and have led Therapy Groups. I have worked as an EAP counselor. I have worked in virtual psychotherapy for the past 7 years.

My approach to therapy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that to have a successful outcome in therapy, the client and the therapist must first build a strong rapport. Once that foundation is laid, I will use one of several therapeutic modalities depending on the issue at hand. These modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths Based Therapy and Psychotherapy. An integrated approach can be utilized as well. I use a client focused approach to therapy. My approach is that we are two detectives looking into your thoughts, beliefs, motivations, behaviors and feelings and you are the lead detective and I am your helper!

What you can expect from me

Clients will receive individualized, focused and evidence based tools to help them manage their symptoms. They will feel validated, heard and seen. They will receive a treatment plan that we create together with achievable goals.
