About Me
My years in the field have taught me that, at best, treatment is a shared endeavor, shaped by experience, training, curiosity, mutual respect, and a good sense of humor. I try to establish a genuine rapport to help clients find their way through depression, anxiety, stress and other emotional disruptions so they can function and thrive in everyday life. As a trained child psychotherapist and adult psychoanalyst, my interests span the life cycle, allowing my enjoyment and understanding of children to influence my engaged and nurturing style with adults.
In practice, I focus on helping people deal with emotional difficulties and handle the consequences of challenging life issues. I use psychodynamic treatment with attention to patterns of early attachment and family experience, but most of all, I work hard to help people feel better.
For couple therapy, I use the PACT model which draws from neuroscience, attachment theory, and emotional regulation to help partners create and maintain a secure attachment and lasting emotional connection.
