Great to meet you!

Hi there, my name is Jacqueline Pérez and I am a queer, Latinx, trauma-informed therapist based in Los Angeles, CA! I love working with the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities which has influenced my passion for offering an affirming and safe space in session. I typically help clients find their spark again! Circumstances such as trauma, life transitions, family conflict, community shifts and/or sociopolitical issues can have an impact on our mental health. When these strains become constant or reoccurring, it can lead to more serious mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or PTSD. My role as your therapist is to help you navigate these events in a way that allows you to live your life again.

My approach to therapy

I’m lighthearted and playful in nature but also direct and supportive in my therapeutic guidance. You will catch me creatively sprinkling in some play, art, and writing as tools in therapy. I work with you to identify your strengths and use them to benefit your mental well-being. I can help you find tools to better manage life’s stressors and cultivate a life that is balanced and worth living!

What you can expect from me

I want to get to know you- what's bringing you in to therapy, important background history, and your identities! My goal is to demystify the therapeutic process and establish a safe and comfortable space. I became a therapist because I love helping others feel confident, happy, and able to indulge in their day-to-day life. I believe that regardless of your diagnosis, you deserve to live your life to the fullest, whatever that may mean or look like for you! Start your therapy journey by scheduling a free consultation with me. Let’s chat!
