Jalia Smart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for working with youth. Prior to coming to Rivas Psychotherapy, Jalia provided therapy with kids, teens, and families in a variety of mental health settings including juvenile justice, school based counseling, outpatient, and intensive in-home services. Through her years as a therapist, Jalia enjoys creating therapeutic spaces to explore, process, heal, and grow. Whenever she gets an opportunity, Jalia loves to spend time at the beach, the springs, garden, and eat new foods.

Jalia uses a variety of approaches such as play therapy, CBT, DBT and over evidence-based approaches.
