Great to meet you!

I provide cognitive behavioral therapy and practice from a strengths based approach. I believe that we all know deep within us how to heal our lives, but sometimes we need help from others to point us in the right direction. I see myself as a guide, mentor and friend to those I work with. I am compassionate, empathic, and can relate easily to others. I also enjoy humor when appropriate. I work with individuals and couples and have been in social work for thirty years and private practice for twenty years. I received my Master's Degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. I work with adults and adolescents in areas such as mood disorders, personality disorders, LGBTQ areas, life transitions, work stress and stress management to name a few. My work is my passion and I whole heartedly believe that there is hope, wellness, and serenity for all.

My approach to therapy

I believe my work with clients is a team effort. I listen to the needs and goals of my client and together we work out a plan. I approach therapy with compassion, concern and empathy. I am goal directed, and give positive feedback for change and growth. I believe in the strength and courage of humanity and our ability to thrive and survive even in the midst of despair, loss of hope, and isolation. I think it "takes a village" not only to raise a child, but to raise each other up when life gets us down.

What you can expect from me

Feedback I've heard from previous clients tend to say that they feel heard and understood. They have felt that they have direction and hope. They leave with things to ponder or to act upon.
