Great to meet you!

Janelle has experience counseling individuals of all ages, couples, families and groups. Her focus areas of treatment are with teens and adults who suffer with anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, PTSD, abuse, shame, spiritual abuse and life adjustments. Additionally, Janelle works with blended families, parents who need additional support, and individuals in or out of relationships affected by personality disorders and/or mental illnesses.

My approach to therapy

Clinically, Janelle believes the client/therapist relationship is of utmost importance and seeks to create a safe and non-judgmental environment. Through this, her goal is to help clients gain knowledge, to become self-reflective, self-compassionate, and to develop coping skills to enhance emotional well-being. She utilizes techniques from CBT, IFS, Trauma, and Solution-Focused therapies and was certified in personality disorders. She also appreciates the 'universal language' of humor

What you can expect from me

Client's can expect to come to counseling feeling welcomed and leave knowing they were cared about. They can work at their pace and share their thoughts and feelings without the wonder of judgement, unconditionally. I will steer them to their personal values so they can live their lives to their fullest. I can be (kindly) direct and do appreciate those who can laugh at me and themselves.
