Great to meet you!

With 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide a warm, supportive space where people can talk openly about what they’re going through. My background includes psychiatric inpatient care and work with the Department of Defense and military populations, giving me extensive experience supporting individuals coping with trauma, stress, and major life challenges.

My approach to therapy

I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, panic, PTSD, and overwhelming stress. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), I help clients develop practical tools to manage symptoms, build resilience, and feel more grounded in their daily lives.

I also enjoy working with older adults who are navigating life transitions, aging-related concerns, grief, and end-of-life issues. These conversations can be deeply meaningful, and I strive to approach them with compassion, respect, and care.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and the first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping might change or improve in your life. I may ask questions about your current concerns, stressors, and personal history to better understand the context of what you’re experiencing.

The first session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. My approach is collaborative, respectful, and paced in a way that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to discuss.

Together, we’ll begin to identify goals for our work and consider strategies that may be helpful moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how therapy can support you.
