Great to meet you!

If you've been carrying the weight of military service, the hypervigilance that doesn't turn off, the memories that surface when you're just trying to get through the day, or the adjustment back to civilian life, you're not broken, and this is exactly where I can help. I spent five years as a military therapist working with active duty service members, and I bring that same structured, evidence-based approach to private practice. I also work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions of all kinds.

My approach to therapy

I typically start with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because it gives us a clear framework for identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns. From there, we adjust based on what you need. For trauma, I'm trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure; two of the most rigorously researched trauma treatments available. If CBT doesn't feel like the right fit, we'll explore DBT, solution-focused work, or other approaches together. Therapy with me is structured but flexible, and I want you to tell me when something isn't working.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll get to know each other. I'll ask what brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you'd want to feel different six months from now. We'll start identifying goals and building a roadmap for our work together. By the end, you'll know what to expect and whether working with me feels like the right fit. That fit matters, it's one of the biggest factors in whether therapy actually works.
