Great to meet you!

"Hello, I'm Dr. Barner, a clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience dedicated to understanding human emotions and behavior. I work with individuals of all ages, helping them navigate their inner world.

Beyond my profession, I enjoy crocheting, reading, bowling, and Lego. I cherish moments with my husband and pets, finding balance and happiness in quiet evenings or outdoor adventures.

Let's navigate the intricate landscapes of your mind for growth and self-discovery together."

My approach to therapy

I try to meet people where they are and focus on their needs as opposed to trying to use a specific approach. I don't just use one method to help my clients – I like a toolbox of techniques. I listen carefully, teach strategies to handle thoughts and emotions, and explore the past to understand the present. My approach is creating a unique map for each person's mental adventure, blending science and compassion to help people overcome challenges and find their way to a happier, healthier mind.

What you can expect from me

It is important to foster hope and healing as needed by each person. You can talk about your feelings, worries, and dreams in a comfortable and judgment-free space. Together we'll craft a plan for the exciting journey ahead – working on yourself and your goals. By the end of the session, you'll walk away with a sense of hope and a roadmap for the adventure of self-improvement.
