I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adolescents and adults in individual and couples psychotherapy. My approach is firmly rooted in evidence-based practices that empower clients to navigate life's transitions, such as identity crises, grief, sexual orientation, and gender identity, with resilience and clarity.
Working with me is collaborative, trauma-informed, and affirming. I work with a diverse population and create a warm, safe, and LGBTQ+-friendly space where clients feel supported and understood. Within that foundation, I also help clients gently challenge unhelpful or irrational thought patterns that may be maintaining distress or maladaptive coping. My work often focuses on building internal validation, self-trust, and emotional resilience, particularly for individuals navigating identity exploration, major life transitions, or periods of uncertainty.
Your first session with me is less of a formal evaluation and more of a getting-to-know-you conversation — think of it a little like a first date, where we're both figuring out if this feels like the right fit. I'll ask about what's brought you in, a bit of your history, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together, but there's no pressure to have it all figured out or to share more than you're comfortable with. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, not assessed. By the end, we'll have a sense of whether working together feels right — and if it does, we'll start mapping out what that can look like.
