Great to meet you!

I have 30 years of experience working in the mental health field with children, teens, and adults. I obtained my MSW from the University of Michigan and am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Certified Autism Specialist, Certified EMDR Therapist, Certified AutPlay Therapist, Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, and Registered Sand Therapist-Consultant/Trainer.

I worked at an inpatient psychiatrist hospital with adolescents for 9 years and then in an outpatient setting with Kaiser Permanente for 18 yrs before starting my private practice. My specialties include play therapy, EMDR, grief, Autism, and Sandtray.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, friendly, kind, and creative. I enjoy guiding clients to see a different perspective or unhealthy patterns in their lives by using traditional talk therapy, art, sand, or play. My office is eclectic and inviting and I have a separate play/activity room with various opportunities to explore feelings including a large sandtray and thousands of figurines.

What you can expect from me

Clients will take away a sense of calm, peace, and hope after a session with me. They might also take away a homework assignment to work on during the week or a helpful quote, suggestion, or recommendation.
