Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a licensed therapist with 14 years of experience providing mental health services to adults and adolescents. I studied clinical social work and earned my MSW from UC Berkeley in 2013. I have worked with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, both in community mental health and in private practice. I specialize in depression, anxiety, stress management, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My style is empathic, trauma-informed, and grounded in principles of cultural humility and harm reduction. You are the expert on your experience and I will always respect that. We will work collaboratively to discover what works best for you and you will be an active participant in your own healing journey. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your specific needs, however I often utilize CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, and narrative therapy.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a warm environment in which you feel safe and supported. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. From there, we will build your resilience, practice coping skills, and you will feel increasingly empowered to navigate challenging areas of your life. Ultimately I hope to help you to find a sense of peace. Life is never easy, but it can become more manageable and full of joy.
