Great to meet you!

Bred in Milwaukee and based in Harlem, I am an award-winning advocate, educator, writer, consultant, and clinician whose work harnesses the power of community connection, emotional intimacy, and generational wellness practices to bring clients back home to themselves. I believe that cultivating intimacy with self and others is a powerful tool for personal and collective true liberation. I hold a B.A. in Afro-American Studies, with a focus on Black Women’s Studies, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when you’re met exactly where you are. So much of our world is organized around constant growth, optimization, and becoming “better.” Here, we slow that down. We honor what already exists. My approach is reflective and relational. Vulnerability is central to my practice, and I aim to create a collaborative space where complexity is welcome and nothing about you needs to be minimized or explained away. I’m less interested in fixing or accelerating change, and more interested in understanding your experiences and the meaning you make of them. I also believe pleasure can be a powerful and often overlooked pathway toward self-love and self-actualization. In our work, we will explore what brings you ease, satisfaction, or a sense of aliveness, especially if those experiences have felt unavailable, complicated, or undeserved. Reconnecting with pleasure can be a way of reconnecting with yourself.

What you can expect from me

I strive to show up authentically and invite the same from you, while always honoring your pace and boundaries. You don’t need the right words, a clear goal, or a polished story to begin. Curiosity and honesty are enough. Together, we’ll pay attention to what emerges between us: what feels tender or stuck, and what is asking for care. I create a process that helps you feel greater safety in your body, more intimately connected in your relationships, and a stronger presence in your life.
