Great to meet you!

Kaitlin helps her clients discover healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their interpersonal relationships. Kaitlin is particularly interested in working with couples and LGBTQ+ individuals. She has previous experience working with clients around depression, anxiety, trauma, self-image/self-compassion, career/academic stress, life transitions, relationship issues, gender and sexuality, and identity formation.

My approach to therapy

She uses EMDR and a Cognitive-Behavioral framework to inform her practice. Kaitlin has completed EMDR training with the EMDR International Association. EMDR therapy facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences to bring these to an adaptive resolution. Kaitlin utilizes the Gottman Method with couples and has experience working with poly, ENM, and monogamous relationship dynamics.

What you can expect from me

Working within the CBT and somatic framework, Kaitlin helps clients identify their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop a personalized toolkit of coping strategies to utilize in changing their behaviors. She aims to provide a safe, affirming, and empowering space for clients to process and make progress. As a queer person, Kaitlin uses her own lived experiences to help create an affirming and non-judgemental space for clients of all cultural backgrounds and identities.
