Great to meet you!

With years of group, family, and individual therapy experience- including nature-based interventions and in home therapy, I feel comfortable in a magnitude of settings. It is a great honor to see someone learn something new about themself. I'm trained in a broad scheme of approaches to ensure a unique experience that includes empowerment, reflecting on past experiences and embracing future opportunities. Part of being a good therapist & social worker is similar to being a good human- I believe we have a duty to share education, resources, and healing with one another. I look forward to working alongside you.

My approach to therapy

You deserve a therapist that is a good fit. I know what it's like to be in a session with the wavelengths never parallel and not knowing where to go or what to share next. The last thing I want is for you to experience that too. For some, that may be a part of the process, while others, not so much. I am trained in many approaches and feel comfortable treating and exploring a multitude of topics and concerns, but something that can't be faked is authenticity. I hope you find that we're a great fit- but if we aren't, I will work to support you in finding a therapist or resources that are going to best meet your needs. An essential part of our time together will be finding comfort and a tether during times of challenge, reflection during ripple, belonging in diversity, and growth mindset throughout.

What you can expect from me

Because I have experience working in so many different settings and with such diverse populations of humans and creatures, I prefer to start where ever you're most comfortable- with the caveat that therapy isn't always easy. We'll do a 15 minute phone consultation to gain understanding of what is bringing you to therapy. In the first intake session we will spend time laying the foundation of what you are seeking so that we can be sure our time together is valuable, challenging, and fulfilling.
