Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Kirsten Allen, a Clinical Sport and Performance Psychologist and former collegiate swimmer passionate about helping high performers thrive—on and off the field.

Shaped by diverse experiences in the U.S. and abroad, I discovered early on the powerful connection between mind and body. Now based in the Southeast, I value a slower rhythm filled with nature, books, coffee, and time with loved ones.

I work with athletes and high-achieving professionals to strengthen resilience, align goals with values, and cultivate a more intentional, fulfilling life—grounded in science, collaboration, and growth.

My approach to therapy

At Collaborative Minds, I help high-achieving individuals optimize performance, wellbeing, and clarity of purpose. Whether you’re an athlete, academic, or professional, we work together to strengthen resilience, align goals with values, and bring greater ease to your life.

I’m energized by seeing others thrive. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based methods—drawing from ACT, mindfulness, CBT, and strengths-based, solution-focused practices tailored to each client’s goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions, we’ll get clear on your goals and create a plan that feels both focused and supportive. Together, we’ll uncover practical tools you can start using right away to handle challenges with more ease. Many clients find meaningful progress within 8–12 sessions, with the option to continue at a pace that fits their needs.
