Biography

Aloha! I grew up in the cultural melting pot of Hawaii then attended college in Iowa and Oregon as yearning to expand my horizons. I have experience as a PMHNP since 2017 (including clinical rotations) and began my PMHNP career in 2020. My hobbies include interacting with adorable animals (especially my cats Ember and Elissa), traveling, warm beaches, and running.

I believe that patients are essential members of their healthcare team and should be involved in making decisions that affect their wellbeing. Patients are often experts of their own body and experiences; if not, we will work through blockages disconnecting oneself from one's body to gain insights and understanding.

I understand it can be overwhelming to seek help for mental health and be vulnerable with a new provider, so I want patients to know that I am here for you with an open heart and nonjudgmental mind. Since I have worked with patients who felt misunderstood or mistreated by healthcare professionals, I intentionally endeavor to break that pattern. I strive to develop mutual trust and understanding with patients by meeting you where you are, collaborating towards goals, and supporting you throughout your growth process. I am honored to partner with patients towards transformational healing and self-discovery (or re-discovery).
