Kwajera acquired her Bachelor's degree from Tuskegee University and her Master's Degree from the University of Maryland, both in Social Work. She is a Masters Addictions Counselor with a certificate in Trauma Counseling. Kwajera enjoys working with adolescents, college students and women navigating their journey of self-discovery and/or healing from trauma. She is a TBRI® Practitioner with extensive training in EMDR and EFT evidenced based treatment for healing trauma and attachment injuries.

My approach to therapy

Kwajera is equipped with an understanding of attachment, childhood development, neuroscience, brain chemistry, and the impact trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, conflict and loss have on the brain. She provides therapeutic interventions to facilitate healing from past trauma and active mental health symptoms to correct maladaptive behaviors in an effort to mitigate the onset, progression, and exacerbation of chronic mental health illness.
