Great to meet you!

I believe healing happens through relationship and connection—when people feel truly seen, heard, and honored for who they are. As a clinical social worker, I approach therapy as a collaborative, supportive space where we move at your pace and tend to what matters most to you. I value walking alongside you in your journey, offering care, curiosity, and respect every step of the way.

My social work path has allowed me to support children, families, and adults in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and a domestic violence shelter. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how life experiences, relationships, and systems shape our well-being, and they guide the compassion I bring into my work.

I am also a Full Spectrum Doula, and supporting the emotional and mental wellness of individuals who are pregnant and/or postpartum is especially close to my heart. I hold deep respect for the profound transformation that occurs during pregnancy, birth, and beyond, and I strive to create space for the tenderness, strength, and complexity that can arise during this time.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with warmth, honesty, and respect for your lived experience - utilizing different modalities in order to support your unique needs. I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to walk alongside you—helping you make meaning of what you’re experiencing, build tools that actually fit your life, and create space for emotions that may not have been welcomed elsewhere.

I am especially mindful of how identity, culture, family dynamics, and systemic stressors impact mental health - as emotional experiences are often intertwined with the social and historical contexts they exist within.

I support adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management challenges, including panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and sleep disorders. I work with individuals experiencing grief and bereavement, end of life issues, infertility, chronic conditions such as diabetes, and other health-related disabilities that impact emotional well-being. My practice also supports clients living with bipolar disorder (also known as manic depressive illness), attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), eating disorders, alcohol and substance abuse concerns, anger management and impulse control difficulties, and complex family or relationship issues.

I provide affirming care around identity development, cultural and ethnic issues, women’s issues, men’s issues, maternal mental health including prepartum and postpartum transitions, and LGBTQ+ concerns, including support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals. Whether you are navigating major life transitions, managing chronic stress, or working through long-standing patterns, therapy can be a space to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater stability and self-understanding.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to work toward. We’ll also take time to complete the intake and review important information together. There’s no expectation to share everything at once—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

Emotionally, first sessions can look many different ways. Some people feel relieved, others feel nervous, tired, emotional, or unsure. There’s no “right” way to feel. If things come up that feel heavy, we’ll take time to ground and make sure you leave the session feeling supported. You don’t need to leave with everything figured out. Beginning is enough.
