Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lauren Reynolds, LCSW, a therapist based in Dallas, Texas. I help adults who feel emotionally overwhelmed but still have to function; people who overthink, carry the mental load, struggle with control/perfectionism, and feel stuck in anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship stress. I have a special focus in chronic illness and the emotional impact of living in a body that doesn’t always cooperate; including medical trauma, identity changes, burnout, and feeling misunderstood. I earned my MSW from Our Lady of the Lake University and my BS from the University of North Texas. I also work in hospice care, which shapes my approach: direct, compassionate, grounded, and focused on what actually matters.

My approach to therapy

I’m a warm therapist, but I’m not a “just vent” therapist. Therapy should feel supportive, but it should also create change. My style is structured, practical, and trauma informed, blending CBT, ACT, and mindfulness based interventions to help you regulate emotions, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and build a life that feels more steady and intentional. We’ll focus on nervous system regulation, boundaries, communication, and breaking cycles that keep you stuck. I believe therapy isn’t forever, but it should be meaningful and my goal is for you to see progress you can actually feel.

What you can expect from me

Expect a calm, supportive session that also gives you direction. We’ll get clear about what’s going on, what’s been hardest lately, and what you want to change. I’ll ask questions that help connect dots (patterns, triggers, nervous system responses, and relationship dynamics) so you feel understood, not judged. Together we’ll identify a starting plan and goals so therapy has a roadmap. Most clients leave session one feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful, and with at least one tool or strategy they can immediately use between sessions.
