Great to meet you!

After graduating from Georgetown University I was awarded a fellowship with the National Institute of Health in Child and Family Research. I received my Doctorate in Psychology in 2005 and have been working with teenagers and adults ever since.

Not every therapist is a fit for every person, so if we aren't a match, feel free to let me know, and I'm happy to work with you to help you find someone who meets your needs in a better way.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am direct and to the point and I expect the same from my clients. This is the only way to achieve real progress. That being said, this is hard work, and the only way to succeed is to trust your relationship with the therapist you are working with, whether it is me or anyone else.

What you can expect from our first session

It is always important to keep in mind that although we never truly leave our past behind us, we also have to strive to move forward in a way that allows for true progress. A big part of that progress means understanding how to prevent your past from controlling your present and future.
