Great to meet you!

A lot of people who find me are getting through things okay on the surface, but underneath there's anxiety or depression, or a sense that life has shifted in ways they haven't fully caught up to yet. I'm Lisa, and I've spent 25 years working in community mental health before coming back to individual therapy because I missed it: the direct work, one person at a time, where real change actually happens. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating those kinds of transitions, and I bring the same energy and care to a teenager figuring out high school as I do to an adult rethinking what they want their life to look like. Clients often describe me as warm, energetic, and someone who takes the work seriously but knows when to lighten the mood.

My approach to therapy

I start from the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My job is to be curious, ask the right questions, and help you get clearer on what you want and what has been getting in the way. In our sessions, we work on understanding the patterns behind your anxiety or depression, building real insight into how your thoughts and feelings connect, and developing tools that actually shift things. Humor has a place in that work too, and I'm not afraid to bring it in when it fits. The people who tend to do well with me are ready to look honestly at themselves and want a therapist who will meet them with both seriousness and warmth.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation. We'll talk about what brought you here, what you've tried before, and where you'd like to see yourself. Together we'll start building goals that feel real and achievable. If any of this resonated, I'd love to connect.
