Great to meet you!

I graduated from NYU with an MSW, completed postgraduate training in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and obtained a Certification in Couples Mediation and acquired a post-graduate certificate from NYU in Non-Profit Management and Leadership.

I am a trauma-informed, healing and holistic clinician and have learned over the years; the importance of being present with the person before me. The concept of ‘holding space’ sets the tone of all clinical encounters.

My approach to therapy

Acting as a support system and a guide for patients often helps them navigate and process challenging issues effectively no matter the nature of the issue or trauma.

I am privileged and humbled to be an ally, standing with clients in their struggles as a social justice advocate, a voice for their empowerment using strength-based therapy, CBT, integrative and family systems; through a trauma-informed, healing and holistic lens to help them discover what works to promote post-traumatic growth.

What you can expect from me

The understanding that no matter the struggles that they enter the room with, there is always a glimpse of light and hope within them, muffled and entangled in the pain, anxiety, depression, guilt and shame. It is therefore, very important for me to hold space for that pain to be grieved, for the guilt and shame to be processed and to support their healing in the corrective emotional experience of gifting oneself of the courage to explore, resilience, compassion, grace, empathy and kindness.
