Great to meet you!

I work with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and codependency, often in combination because these things rarely show up on their own. I'm a Licensed Social Worker and Chemical Dependency Counselor, and my background spans outpatient, residential, inpatient, and felony court settings, so I've worked with people at a lot of different points in their lives, including some pretty hard ones. I take time to understand what's actually going on for you before we figure out where to go from there. If you've been hesitant to reach out, I totally get it, and I'm glad you're here.

My approach to therapy

I pull from a few different approaches depending on what's most useful for the person in front of me: ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among others. The goal isn't just to feel better in the short term, it's to understand what's driving the patterns and actually change them. I'll tell you what I'm thinking and why, and we'll adjust as we go.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly me listening. I'll ask about what's been going on, what's brought you in now, and what you're hoping to get out of this. It's a conversation, not an intake form. By the end, you'll have a clearer sense of whether working together feels right, and we'll have a rough idea of where to start.
